Overview
ConvTek was founded in 1989 by a group of consultants who had
been migrating VSE data centers to MVS using the mass
conversion approach in Europe and North America throughout the
eighties.
Since 1989,
ConvTek has completed over 70 major Enterprise application transformation and re-hosting projects in the U.S.,
Europe, and Asia,
including both VSE to MVS (OS/390 or z/OS) migrations and other Enterprise-wide
application transformation projects that can benefit from the
mass conversion approach.
Along the years,
ConvTek has become a recognized industry leader and preferred IBM Business Partner for VSE to
z/OS migrations thanks to its unique expertise with the mass conversion approach, and proven track record of on-time
and on-budget project deliveries.
Solutions
Besides VSE to z/OS migrations, ConvTek also provides
solutions for the following Enterprise application
transformations:
Expertise
At the core of the ConvTek team is a group of consultants that have worked together
as a team on VSE to MVS (OS/390
or z/OS) migrations and other Enterprise application
transformation projects using the mass conversion approach
for more than 15 years. Mass conversion project references
range from 15 to over 30 projects per consultant. MVS
(OS/390, z/OS) experience ranges from 20 to over 30
years per consultant.
Methodology
When converting or migrating highly integrated Enterprise
application inventories, ConvTek uses the mass conversion approach, which consists in fully automating the conversion process, so that the entire application inventory can be simultaneously
converted and migrated from source to target environments over only a few hours with little end-user service disruption and almost no end-user visibility.
